Whistleblowing for SMF16 and SM17 roles – key considerations when reporting to the FCA
Join us for the next invitation only MLRO Forum, specifically for those in MLRO, DMLRO and SMF17 roles, with a focus on whistleblowing and regulatory notifications, where we are delighted to be joined by Baroness Susan Kramer, WhistleblowersUK (WBUK), and Dr Victoria McCloud.
You are warmly invited to join us for this knowledge-sharing event and panel discussion will discuss the concerns often faced by those in these roles in balancing identifying internal risks with regulator reporting requirements.
The forum will discuss:
- regulatory referencing
- key considerations for regulatory disclosures
- finding the balance between fulfilling the obligations of the role, working towards
- compliance where enhancements are required, and reporting to the FCA
- what changes need to be made to the regulatory framework to encourage disclosure and protect MLROs and SMF17s
We are also asking all our Forum members to help shape the agenda for this session by completing a short survey on an anonymous basis, for WhistleblowersUK to create a bespoke report to be discussed and analysed during the session.
